finding purpose among trash - oxfam

I interviewed and photographed Syrian refugee Jasem Al-Wrewir, and worked with him to create this story, published in the Oxford Monitor of Forced Migration. Jasem’s story highlights the contribution that refugees like himself are making towards improving conditions in hosting countries. It also highlights the limitations of cash-for-work programmes, and the impossible policy predicament of refugees in Jordan, who can neither return home, migrate to a third country, nor work legally in Jordan.
